American Idol has now been on television long enough to be influenced by itself, as evidenced by the fact that season nine contestant Siobhan Magnus, who was voted off the show earlier this week, apparently got her singing start as a result of buying an album from Kelly Clarkson, the contestant who won Idol’s first season.
Siobhan first found her voice while singing a Kelly Clarkson song in the shower and discovered to her own surprise that she was able to hit a high note by resonating it in a “different part” of her head.
Meanwhile Magnus, who refuses to play favorites in terms of who will win this season on Idol now that she’s gone, will appear on The Ellen Show this afternoon to discuss her elimination and her future plans with Idol judge Ellen Degeneres.
