American Idol is not having a great season this year, with more attention being given to Simon Cowell and his fellow American Idol judges rather than the acts competing to be the next American Idol. Simon Cowell has had a bit of a sparing with Ryan Seacrest this week and now it seems Simon Cowell has also got up the nose of his fellow judge Ellen Degeneres.
The popular talk show host has told friends that Simon Cowell really annoys her; she cannot believe how he speaks to the contestants according to a source.
Simon Cowell has was upset at losing Paula Abdul from American Idol has never got on with Ellen and it seems like things are not getting any better. Sources on American Idol have said that the bosses on the show keep Simon and Ellen apart for fear of an all out war.
The source on the show has claimed that Ellen does not get Simon; she does not seem to understand his humour or his honest style and feels he should be nicer and less honest to the contestants.
Ellen has told friends that she was looking forward to joining American Idol but now is regretting it, as the show does not seem to be the show that she signed up for.
The new judge after hearing rumours that Simon signed Paula Abdul for his new X Factor show went straight up to Simon and accused him of trying to ruin American idol.
According to reports, Ellen feels by Simon putting Paula Abdul on his judging panel will undermine American Idol and drive viewers to the new show.
“Ellen told Simon she was worried about him saying he wanted to bring Paula to his new show — bitching that if he did that, it would cut the legs out from under Idol,” a source told the National Enquirer.
“Simon told Ellen that the if there ever comes a day when anything she has to say about his business dealings might be relevant, he will ask for her opinion!”
American Idol are still trying to find a replacement for Simon and even though they have a large number of names on the list, no one at this present moment stands out, leaving the question open, will American Idol survive without Simon Cowell.
