According to the The Asbury Park press, a man from Toms River, Jersey named Daniel Bark has been charged on Thursday with the hit and run murder of previous American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen.

Alexis Cohen 25, died from head and torso injuries on July 25, 2009 in Seaside Heights, N.J., after being hit by a vehicle driven by Bark. At the time, prosecutors say Bark, 24, was trying to escape from.
